Portland, OR – Celebrate Oktoberfest on Wednesday, October 4th from 5-9 PM at Bazi Bierbrasserie (1522 SE 32nd Ave – Hawthorne District) with a special Wurst & Bier pairing featuring beers from Occidental Brewing Company.
About the beers:
Occidental Festbier, 6.7% ABV, rich yet quaffable lager in the old tradition of Oktoberfest beers. German noble hops provide a delicate hop character to pair with a firm malt profile featuring Munich and Vienna malts.
Occidental Dunkel, 5.1% ABV, malty and smooth, balanced with an assortment of noble hops.
Occidental Kolsch, 4.5% ABV, crisp and dry, it is clean and lager-like, with a pleasant, slightly spicy hop profile supplied by German Perle. Very sessionable.
The Altengartz Bratwurst available only at Sheridan Fruit Co. is made by a pair of guys with a rich German heritage. The bratwurst will be simmered in each of the 6 beers for the pairing.
