Introducing… Ian Hermanns.
Ian recently graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In collaboration with his Senior Design Project team, he spent 2 years designing, manufacturing and programming mining robots, culminating in a visit to Kennedy Space Center to compete in the NASA Robotic Mining Competition. However, the experience led him to the realization that the space industry wasn’t for him, and he headed in a new direction. After volunteering with several local breweries, and venturing into home brewing for himself, he knew he wanted to enter that industry, and is excited to be a part of the team here at Marks Design & Metalworks.
