BREWVANA Grows to Meet Demand: Tours now available every day of the week, new walking tour debuts & a 3rd bus is added
BREWVANA Brewery Tours celebrated their 3rd anniversary in April and as of June, the growth of the young company is reflected in big changes that mean more tours and more fun for resident and visiting beer lovers.
With the introduction of a new walking tour, based around N Mississippi Avenue, BREWVANA now has at least one tour available every day of the week. Beer Love on Mississippi – A Walking Tour, was developed based on the incredible response received from the creation of Beer Love in the Pearl – A Walking Tour, which debuted summer 2013. The four-stop tour visits Ecliptic Brewing, StormBreaker Brewing, Hopworks BikeBar and Tin Bucket. The tour runs weekly Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.
In addition to the new walking tour, two occasional tours, Friday Old School and Saturday Brew Lovers, take a more permanent place on the schedule and will be offered at least twice monthly. Each is a three-stop, afternoon tour and introduces riders to breweries not visited on other tours. Continuing the tradition BREWVANA has built their business on, the tours are all inclusive, offering a fun, laid back way to experience the best beer in Portland.
Perhaps the most visible representation of BREWVANA’s growth is the addition of a third bus. Dubbed Lil Johnny, in honor of founder Ashley Rose Salvitti’s father, John, the newest member of the fleet joins sisters Angel and Rosie in providing transportation for imbibers on public and private (BYOT) tours. He boasts a new diesel engine that will make more out of town tours possible and wheel chair accessibility. In the coming weeks Lil Johnny will get wrapped at Kolor Werks in the same design the other buses sport (sponsor space available; contact BREWVANA for details).
