Beer & Cider List
Alesong Brewing & Blending: Cherry Parliament
We initially matured this unique wild ale on Oregon Pinot Noir barrels. It was then moved into second use bourbon barrels with bing and lapin cherries from Hood River, OR, to provide tart and sweet flavors that marry with the mild oak and funkadelic yeast complexities. Ya dig? 7.4% Abv.
Bend Brewing: Lovely Cherry Baltic Porter
A blend of year-old and fresh baltic porter aged on Montmorency cherries for three months. 9.5% Abv.
Burnside Brewing: Cherry Sweet Heat
A one-off cherry infused version of Burnside Brewing’s Gold medal winning Sweet Heat, a wheat beer brewed with apricots and scotch bonnet peppers. This special version with the extra sweet and tart twang of real cherries!
Culmination Brewing: Kriek Noir
A dark Lambic-style cherry sour ale.
De Garde Brewing: Kriek
Double Mountain Brewing: Devil’s Kriek
Fort George Brewing/Finnriver Cidery: Shady Grove
A blend of deep red, fruity, tart and funky saison with wild yeast and brett aged in oak wine barrels with a dark black cherry cider, also aged in French oak wine barrels. It’s a union of sour cider and sour saison aged in wine barrels. 6.5% Abv.
Logsdon Farmhouse Ales: Krieke Vier
A quadrupel based beer with intense Kriek flavor aged for 4 months in bourbon barrels with cherries. This beer was compiled by the Logsdon crew of 4 with 4 of our initial seizoen yeast strains and 4 more cultures of Brettanomyces and lactic bacteria. Krieke Vier is a big beer with great flavor intensity and incredible cherry complexity that is smooth and easy to drink. 9.9% Abv.
Lompoc Brewing: Kriektucky
Golden Ale aged for 10 months in Heaven Hill Distillery Bourbon barrels on 45 lbs of sour cherries. 5.5% Abv.
Oakshire Brewing: Heart Shaped Box
Bourbon barrel-agedimperial stout with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, espresso and sweet cherries. 12% Abv.
pFriem Family Brewers: Oude Kriek
Adding fresh, Hood River cherries to our barrel aged lambic ale makes us happy, but 10 months later, flavors of cherry pie and the dry, tangy finish are even more satisfying. 5.6% Abv.
Upright Brewing: Shades
Shades also uses cherries from Baird, although in this case we’re talking Rainiers, which don’t alter the color of the beer. This is deceiving, because it’s loaded with fruit flavor–employing over 100 pounds per cask–although this blend only comprised six barrels. Upright brewers used two different lots of cherries, one notably sweet and the other tart, and inoculated the casks with three different brettanomyces strains. The beer was aged and conditioned just like the Hearts’ Beat, but the brett was pushed further to produce a funkier aromatic profile with a bit more acidity. Both beers are named after a Charles Mingus composition from his album “The Black Saint and Sinner Lady.” 8% Abv.
