(Salem, OR) – February 1, 2017 – Salem Ale Works is excited to announce it will be moving its brewery and taproom to a larger facility located at 2315 25th St SE. The 5,400 square foot space will allow for an expanded onsite taproom and room for growth in brewing capacity.
“After a little over a year of searching for a new location that fit our needs, we are thrilled to have found the right fit and to expand our footprint in the Salem brewery scene. We are excited for the future and look forward to sharing it with the craft beer fans of Salem,” says Jake Bonham, co-founder of Salem Ale Works.
The taproom will have approximately 70 seats, feature 12 Salem Ale Works beers on tap, two rotating cider taps, as well as wine by the glass. A full food menu of high quality well-crafted offerings will be available, provided in partnership with local food purveyor Prologue Pastries and Sandwich Library. The new facility is expected to open in the second quarter of 2017.
The brewery was founded in 2013 by two college friends and former wildland firefighters, Justin Ego and Jake Bonham. The friends’ shared experiences and love of great craft beer gave rise to the formation of the brewery through which they have brought well-crafted and enjoyable beers to the Salem community and beyond.
