Oakshire Brewing Hellshire Day – May 6, 2017

Hellshire Experience and Hellshire Day & Barrel-Aged Beer Fest, May 5 & 6, 2017

EUGENE, OR (February 23, 2017) – The Oakshire Brewing team is excited to announce details of this year’s Hellshire weekend of events surrounding the release of Hellshire VII – the brewery’s seventh barrel-aged beer under the Hellshire label. To celebrate this release and the craft of barrel-aging, Oakshire will host a Fourth Annual Hellshire Day & Barrel-Aged Beer Fest starting at noon on Saturday, May 6th, at its Public House on Madison Street in Eugene. The beer festival will include offerings from Oakshire’s barrel-aging Vintage program, as well as 50+ barrel-aged beers from breweries around the country. The first sales of 22 oz. wax-dipped Hellshire VII bottles begins at the festival.

Regarding the release of Hellshire VII Lead Brewer Dan Russo said, “We formulated the burliest Russian Imperial Stout that we could dream up and laid it to rest for the last year in freshly dumped bourbon barrels. What has emerged is a massive and deeply complex entity that we are excited to share with the world. Throw in the release of a fan favorite from last year with a twist, Double Barrel Especial (Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout w/cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon, locally roasted coffee, and chilies then further aged in a brandy barrel) for the Hellshire Experience night and some of the best breweries in the country, I’d say we’re in for the best Hellshire Day yet!”

The Hellshire Day & Barrel-Aged Beer Fest will include live music by local bands and food served up by local food carts. Festival tickets will include a commemorative Hellshire VII tasting glass and five sampling tokens, with more available for purchase. There will also be Entry-only tickets available for adults over 18 who wish to enter but not participate in consuming festival beers.

For a third straight year, Oakshire will also offer a unique Hellshire Experience to a limited number of early registrants, which will include: Friday night {5/5/16} behind-the-scenes warehouse party with the brewers, live music, and complimentary food; a bottle of our extremely rare Double Barrel Hellshire Especial; and, early VIP entry to Hellshire Day to be first in line for the most sought after offerings.

Oakshire Is offering advanced tickets for sale at the Public House and online starting February 24th. Online tickets here:
