We’re back! Shangri-La and Salem Ale Works are teaming up to host the second annual Capital City Cornhole Classic on September 9 at the State Capitol State Park in Salem.

This friendly-competition cornhole tournament also features good eats from local food trucks, craft beer from Salem Ale Works, and activities for the whole family, including a cornhole challenge course.

Entry Fees
2-Player Team: $45 per team
1-Player Rule Breakers Division for children (ages 6-12) and people with disabilities who need accommodation: $10

Pre-registration is required by September 5 at 10 p.m.
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Tournament Divisions
Teams can only play in one division.

“Play All Day” Division: Round-robin style format. Each team (2-players) in the division will play each other. Teams with the best overall win record wins the tournament. This division is great for players that are up for a full-day of putting their cornhole skills to the test.

“Two and Out” Division: Blind-draw, double-elimination bracket style format. Each team consists of 2-players.

“Rule Breakers” Division: Single-player division for children ages (6-12) and people with disabilities that need accommodation. This division features a blind-draw, single-elimination bracket style format.

Rules of Play
Rules for Play in the “Play-All-Day” and “Two and Out” Divisions:
Pitching distance for ALL PLAYERS in this division will be 27 feet.
Scoring: Cancellation scoring will be used. In cancellation scoring, the points of one player cancel the points of the other player thus resulting in only one player/team receiving points in each inning. The first team/player to reach 21 points will be declared the winner.

Rules for “Rule Breakers” Division Play
Scoring: Rally scoring will be used for the duration of this division. During rally scoring, all points scored will be counted and the first player to reach 21 points will be declared the winner.
Court adjustments. Pitching distance will be 21 feet.
